Dear Internet User
Many websites save files, so called cookies, in the browser’s storage (browsers such as Firefox, Internet Explorer, Chrome and others) on your computer or phone user account, with which you connect to the Web.
Generally, cookie files are very useful. Thanks to them, your individual settings are saved and you may log into your e-mail account.
Website authors use them to know more about how many users visit and what they browse, and what they avoid.
Information gathered with cookies may also be used to collect information about you for commercial purposes. E.g. if you visit websites about books, you will get more ads about books.
Fortunately, if you think that the presence of cookies violate your privacy, you may turn them off either for a specific website or for your entire browser at any moment.
In Mozilla Firefox
In the “Tools” menu select the “Options” and then the “Privacy” tab.
The browser allows you to indicate you don’t want to be tracked at all or delete individual cookies for websites.
In Microsoft Internet Explorer
In the “Tools” menu choose the “Internet options” and then the “Privacy” tab.
With a special scroll you may indicate the overall privacy level or with the “Websites” button manage settings for individual websites.
In Google Chrome
In the menu under three horizontal lines in the upper right corner of the browser choose “More tools” then “Clear browsing data…”. Apart from clearing cookies, there is the “Learn more” link, which is connected to the specific description of the browser’s privacy function.
With “Opera” button in the upper left corner open the menu and choose “Settings” then “Clear browsing history…”.
Apart from deleting already set cookies, there is also “Manage cookies” button linked to more advanced settings for particular websites.
In Apple Safari
In “Safari” menu choose “Preferences” then “Privacy” tab. There you will find numerous options concerning cookies.
On mobile phones, tablets and other mobile devices.
Each telephone model may operate this function differently. That is why we encourage you to read the privacy options in the documentation located on the producer’s website.
